 | | December 02, 2009 SRK CONSULTING RETAINED TO PREPARE A PROJECT ESTIMATE FOR BRONSON SLOPE FEASIBILTY STUDY
|
| | Richmond, BC -- Skyline Gold Corporation ("the Company"), a company engaged in the exploration and development of its Bronson Slope porphyry style gold-copper deposit in north western British Columbia's 'Golden Triangle', is pleased to announce that the Company has retained SRK Consulting (Canada) Inc. ("SRK") to prepare a study identifying the required project elements, cost, and timing to complete a feasibility study technical report for the Bronson Slope project.
The Bronson Slope Project was progressing through the pre-feasibility stage in 1997 and 1998 when the project was deferred because of declining metal prices. More than 30 reports including wildlife and environmental, infrastructure and power, geotechnical, metallurgical and milling, resource estimates, project economics, geological, tailings facility and water management studies have been completed on the Bronson Slope project during the pre-feasibility phase and to date.
These studies, including the February 2009 Bronson Slope Preliminary Assessment Technical Report completed by Leighton Asia, will be reviewed by SRK and compared to feasibility study requirements through a matrix analysis to provide an estimate of the current project baseline status and also timeline, budget and project elements to complete the feasibility study phase.
Formed in 1974, SRK Consulting now employs more than 900 professionals internationally in 36 permanent offices on 6 continents. SRK has selected 7 professionals within its organization to review and analyze the technical data and to baseline the status of the Bronson Slope project. The project manager will be Gordon Doerksen, P.Eng.
David Jensen, P.Eng., President of Skyline Gold comments, "I am delighted to engage a company with the technical breadth and depth of SRK Consulting to work on the Bronson Slope project. This report will be key to positioning Skyline Gold to initiate the feasibility study and we look forward to working closely with SRK to complete this guiding document."
ON BEHALF OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
